Job Responsibilities

  • Translate market trends and developments, as well as customer demands into application development projects. Contribute to R&D and M&S in setting up innovation programs
  • Build and maintain application and industry expertise and know-how and use this knowledge to develop new applications/concepts
  • Propose and execute application development or competence building projects (either as project leader or as project member in a multidisciplinary team).
  • Strongly connect to and use competences in R&D, organisation corporate research, Technical centers (TCs), universities and external institutes
  • Maintain contacts with suppliers in order to ensure the development of new equipment
  • Report general trends in application development (including competitor developments) and report on progress of own projects

Job Requirements

  • Technically educated at academic level or proven comparable working/thinking level (preferably textile engineering)
  • Significant experience in textile or the fiber industry
  • People management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of processing technologies used to make applications and end products (for instance braiding, weaving, knitting, pressing, coating, dyeing) and analytical or test methods to judge the performance of the applications
  • Understanding of how process conditions and product / material properties are linked to application properties and performance.
  • Innovation champion who consistently has new ideas which might create value in the future and is able to inspire and to communicate his / her ideas to others and who has strong conceptual capabilities and a natural drive to create in-depth understanding to solve problems or create opportunities.
  • Fluent in English language

Position:  Regional Trade Marketing Manager - APAC
Location: Singapore

An international manufacturer and marketer of sugar confectionery. With sales in over 160 countries worldwide.

Job Summary

The Regional Trade Marketing Manager is accountable for developing a coherent channel and category strategy for all the 6 brands in order to contribute to the company’s growth in the sugar confectionary category. This position coordinates and attunes Sales and Marketing activities and strategy, from a channel, formula, category and shopper perspective, with particular focus on the evolving/ growing Modern Trade channel throughout the diverse markets in the Asia Pacific region. The Trade Marketing Manger has total accountability and oversight of the trade marketing strategy for all Operating Companies, which consist of entities with full compliment/ structure with commercial & manufacturing; and Export Far East (EFE) markets within the Asia Pacific.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop a channel and category strategy in-line with the APAC strategy.
  • Develop and implement category management projects with retailers, imbibing best  practices from across the region and international markets:
  • Analyze/ understand shopper behaviour and generate shopper insights to optimise  assortment and visibility strategy
  • Develop, standardize and effectively deploy visibility & display tools, and establish  benchmarks for the same. 
  • Track, review, analyze/ evaluate and share information:
  • Responsibility for advising sales and marketing departments in areas of business  information, category management, materials management and trade presentations.
  • Maintain contacts with the trade and business partners.
  • Improving professional/ technical/ functional development of the operating companies.

Skills, Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or MBA would be an added advantage
  • 8-10 years experience in various commercial (sales and marketing) roles within FMCG industry, preferably with multinational experience
  • Sales experience in modern trade/ key account channel
  • Overseen or been directly involved with regional-wide (Asia) trade marketing activities
  • Ability to seek out, assess and advise on various country commercial activities
  • Proven ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization, particularly in an cross-cultural environment
  • Ability to initiate and lead projects, and work independently with minimum supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to influence decision makers.
  • Proficient in Windows-based MS Office software
  • Fluent spoken and written English required; any second language an advantage i.e. Mandarin, Vietnamese, Indonesian Bahasa.
  • Able to travel internationally within Asia Pacific region; Europe periodically. Travel will be 40-50%

Position:  National Modern Trade Manager
Location: Vietnam

Job Summary

This position is accountable for developing a coherent Modern Trade (MT) channel strategy for the brands in order to contribute to the growth in the sugar confectionary category. This position coordinates and attunes MT channel strategy with both customer and a shopper perspective, with particular focus on the evolving/ growing MT channel throughout the Vietnam market. The incumbent must have sound knowledge in designing/ developing MT programs (basic and incentive driven).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Ensure the achievement of sell-out target monthly/quarterly.
  • Establish sales targets, and make sales plans for every customer in Modern Trade in accordance with the Company’s sales and distribution strategy.
  • Assist in planning process of Modern Trade sales and merchandising by brand/ by customer.
  • Transmit the sales related information and policies from Company to Modern Trade Supervisors, Sales teams, & Merchandisers; ensure their strict compliance.
  • Seek out and explore new sales, product and customer opportunities in MT channel.
  • Monitor sell-out by customer/ by brand/ by salesmen as well as market behaviors and competitors’ development to have timely and suitable reactions.
  • Analyze sales data to recommend, implement and administer methods and procedures to enhance the sales improvement of the Company.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of the contract with Modern Trade customers.
  • Manage customer credit and payments.
  • Establish and maintain the favorable relationship with major customers.
  • Enlist HR Department in recruiting/training Modern Trade Supervisors, Salesmen and Merchandisers.
  • Ensure salesmen are provided enough selling tools and use them correctly and effectively; check Modern Trade Supervisors’ field visiting plans and monthly expenses claims.
  • Develop effective sales teams; supervise personnel; coordinate Modern Trade Regional Manager/Supervisors’ activities; makes period personnel and target reports.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to the sales team and ensure they are properly equipped, trained and motivated to achieve their objectives.
  • Support Sales Director to prepare the rolling sales forecast.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 7-10 years experience in various commercial and strategic (sales and marketing) roles within the FMCG industry.
  • Solid sales experience in modern trade/ key account channel and management
  • Overseen or been directly involved with regional-wide (Asia) trade marketing activities with additional knowledge of the Vietnamese market an advantage
  • Able to seek out, assess and advise on various country commercial activities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization, particularly in cross-cultural settings
  • Ability to initiate and lead projects.
  • Strong leadership management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Windows-based MS Office software

Position:  Country Head - Sales (Malaysia)
Reports to: SEA Sales Director

ROLE SUMMARY

To develop effective sales strategies, coverage and building blocks for Malaysia, maximizing the market penetration and profitability in the Country, identifying objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales performances. Whilst also establishing an effective relationship/partnership with Distributors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Strategy

  • Develops and proposes the annual operational sales plan for the Country to the General Manager (goals, sales strategies, channel and customer plans country wide), proposing also medium-term sales strategy for the Country.
  • Ensure development and propose to general management Commercial Policies, Trade Terms and Customer Plans.
  • Ensures development of National standard of Building blocks KPIs by Channel / type of POS (distribution, freshness, visibility, consumer price, display) and propose to General Management.
  • Cooperates with Marketing and Trade Marketing to ensure alignment of the sales strategy with the marketing strategy.

PMT, Budget, Objectives and Sales Forecast

  • Proposes Country sales volume and sales costs for PMT/budget.
  • Develop sales volume budget and trade expense for PMT (by customer, pos, product, SKU), communicate with Distributors and assure control.
  • Ensures in line with business objectives the proper management of budget (reach targets on trade spending, returns, profits).

Customer plans and sales development

  • Coordinates with the distributor the implementation of the Sales Plan in the Country, ensuring the achievement of sales volume and growth objectives.
  • Monitors continuously the Country marketplace and Customers to determine possible market opportunities and improvement of market penetration of Company's products, ensure quantity and quality development in the assigned Country (Business Blocks KPIs).
  • Assures that all the Brands are marketed or introduced in the Country in accordance with Company policies to obtain maximum profitability, assure alignment and knowledge transfer to Distributors.

Distributor Management

  • Support Distributors in managing the Sales Team, communicating sales objectives and suggesting channels' approached in accordance with trade marketing guidelines.

Planning and control

  • Monitors field activities, performances and accomplishment of sales conditions, agreements, relevant BB KPIs and the customers’ profitability and regularly and clearly communicate to the General Manager.
  • Ensure stock management and control; propose actions to solve over-stocks and out-of stock situation.

Marketing and Trade Marketing

  • Implement brand strategies, achieve qualitative and quantitative objectives set by marketing, regularly share with Marketing and Trade Marketing information and feedback on opportunities and obstacles.
  • Ensure implementation of TM strategies and proper in-store activities execution.
  • Makes proposals to Trade Marketing on new types of POS Material and in-store activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 8-15 years working experience in similar capacity
  • Degree educated
  • Strong analytical, people management, account management, negotiation and leadership skills,
  • Market Knowledge: Traditional & Modern Trade, Impulse Channel; Channel & Customer Plan; Commercial Logistics; Sales, Field & Merchandising Processes;

ROLE SUMMARY

As the SEA Brand Manager, you will manage brand activities of assigned brands to meet sales, profit and market share targets within agreed budgets, through developing, communicating and implementing brand strategies. You will be developing guidelines covering product, packaging, communication and pricing. Develop and manage the implementation of brand activities based on brand strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Strategy

  • Make recommendations to the Marketing Country Manager on competitive positions and strategy for the assigned product lines
  • Contributes to define strategy and actions to maximize profitability of the assigned brand
  • Implements marketing strategies for assigned brand; proposes initiatives and business development actions for the assigned brand in Area/Country.
  • Propose, coordinate and harmonize marketing strategies for the assigned brand (product positioning, benefits, pricing, target group) with the strategies defined by the sales team (markets, customers, distribution channels) in compliance with the Central Category and Group guidelines.

Market Development

  • Propose and plan appropriate activities to drive marketing mix elements to the goals achievement, monitoring related economic and business results of the assigned brand in line with the central category management guidelines
  • Provides input and cooperation to the new products/initiatives development.

Marketing Plan

  • Propose appropriate marketing plans for the local market for the assigned brand in accordance with Central category and Group guidelines.
  • Implement marketing activities and manage the local campaign for the assigned brand.
  • Propose co-marketing actions with third parties to promote positioning and sales for the assigned brand.
  • Cooperates with other departments to ensure proper implementation of agreed action plans for the assigned brand.
  • Proposes go-to-market plan including pricing, promotions and communication, monitoring business result for the assigned brand.

Communication and Advertising Strategy

  • Propose the communication strategy for the assigned brand for the Area/Country in accordance with the Group guidelines and plans the proper implementation
  • Propose and conducts relations with mass media, local advertising/ promotion companies and other suppliers
  • Implement arrangements for organizing the placement of advertising and the advertising line to be implemented for the assigned brand

Promotions/Sponsorship

  • Propose and manage promotional and sponsorship activities of the assigned brand.
  • Implement development and production of promotional materials according to marketing strategy and approved procedures.
  • Works with sales function on evaluating the success of the specific promotions / sponsorship deals undertaken for the assigned brand, and propose the arrangement for any corrective action / future projects that may be required

Packaging and Product Documentation

  • Proposes and share new projects intended to result in new formats and new packaging designs for the assigned brand.
  • Implements main projects while verifying that any stated guidelines are applied.
  • Manages product documentation correctly and timely for the assigned brand.

Test Management

  • Manages products tests results in accordance with group guidelines for the assigned brand
  • Follows launch of new products on the market for the assigned brand
  • Ensures and verify the results of market tests including control of freshness for the assigned brand

PMT and Budget Management

  • Defines and recommends to the Marketing Country Manager the PMT and budget sales volumes of the assigned brand
  • Defines and recommends to the Marketing Country Manager the PMT and budget for costs associated with the assigned brand, i.e. advertising, promotional costs.
  • Takes responsibility for the economic results achieved by the assigned product lines, monitoring compliance with the budgeted figures and ongoing economic performance, and proposing any necessary corrective action

  • Preferred experience gained from a leading regional or global organisation
